A giant Manta (Mobula birostris) which passed by in crystal clear water at Abington reef.

Clownfish

Clownfish

Red Sea anemonefish (Amphiprion bicinctus) in Sudan. Another example where you can see my passion for a high f-stop in under water macro photography which gives a dark background and greater depth of field.

Silky

Silky

This silky shark (Carcharhinus falciformis) was taken during a late afternoon dive in Sudan. Little sunlight in combination with a low f-stop and one strobe created the „out of the dark“ appearance.

Whip coral forest

Whip coral forest

Whip corals (Junceella fragilis) can be seen on many sudanese reefs and are always worth a picture due to they bright red color.

Two Goby

Two Goby

Two whip coral goby’s (Bryaninops yongei) sharing one home at Sanganeb, Sudan. As there are plenty of whip corals in Sudan, it is not difficult to find some Goby’s. The challenge was to have two close enough together to take a picture with a 60mm macro lens

Hidden

Hidden

If you slow down during diving, you can always find different marine life - like this tiny fish - in soft corals (Dendronephthya klunzingeri)

Silky

Silky

This silky shark (Carcharhinus falciformis) looks a little blurry, as I had the 60mm macro lens on my camera and had to take this picture from quite a distance to get the whole shark on it.
